Carved as rough wooden figures, the protagonists chase through a wooden block workshop with a lot of noise and rock music, reviving the age-old battle between good and evil.

There is singing, dancing, and playing that makes a racket. Boom, there you go!

The virtuoso, joyful playfulness of the puppeteers is infectious. In the end, there is unanimity. The story of the Robber Hotzenplotz is good - immortally good - no, wobbly-tooth good.

The peculiar material theater production, in its woodcut-like Punch and Judy interpretation, is a classic.

  • The hands & company Puppet Theater is an independent touring theater from Stuttgart, founded by Angelika Maria Gök. She is a puppeteer and a graduate of the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts. She performs with her children's plays nationally and internationally, directs, and conducts workshops for children.

    Robert Buschbacher is also a puppeteer and a graduate of the Stuttgart University. In Wels, he has previously performed with the street theater "Die Tütopisten." Since 2023, they have been performing together in the children's book classic "The Robber Hotzenplotz."
