Anton Bruckner, the famous, humble composer, musician, teacher:

What made this person, who remained persistent despite numerous failures and tough challenges? Where did he find the strength to pursue his ideas, create his music? What did loneliness do to him?

Questions and topics that many young people also face in a different context today. A musically brisk puppet theater piece for two great actresses and a very small orchestra full of peculiarities and surprises embarks on a search for clues, unveils some small secrets, and dares to provide answers.

  • The Independent Theater Ensemble The Exes

    from Neuhaus am Inn in the district of Passau, known for its repertoire for children and adults including plays like "The Ugly Duckling," "The Vulture Wally," "Heidi's Secret," "Chickens," and "On the Way," plays with various means of puppet theater, integrating elements of acting and live music.

    Annika Pilstl, Exes co-founder, puppeteer, and director, is active both in the ensemble and as a solo artist. Her current eleven mobile pieces tour on German and international stages and festivals, receiving numerous awards.

    Dorothee Carls, certified puppeteer, works freelance in various combinations. Together with Michael Hatzius (the lizard), she develops productions as Theater Big Bang. As a director, she was delightfully a guest at the Children's Cultural Center Kuddelmuddel with "The Cucumber King."

    SPRING STRING QUARTET

    Since 1997, the four gentlemen of the Upper Austrian SPRING STRING QUARTET have been performing together on the stages of Austria, Europe, and the USA, shattering all common "violin music" clichés and redefining the artistic expressions of the classical string quartet.
